TRUE LUST – NIGHT VOYEUR.

Do you miss the mystique in music? The element of surprise? The essence of innovation? Then strap in for a ride over the edge and into a slummy underworld!

This week Portland’s slickest disco beast True Lust returns with ‘Night Voyeur’, an alluring disco-noir soundtrack with a gritty screenplay bent on whispering a spine-tingling story of crime and paranoia.

Choose to listen however you please, but as mentioned above, for the ultimate experience this album is meant to accompany a screenplay about a killer on the loose in the city.

“Fear takes hold as a covetous serial killer tightens his grip on the City of Angels. With the police department struggling to solve the case, an unstable detective must work alongside the only surviving victim to bring down the Night Voyeur.”

This gutsy concept of bringing together music and text is something I can’t believe more artists haven’t done. We all have our favorite soundtracks and scores to films, some are enjoyable even listening to by themselves.

The music on ‘Night Voyeur’ is violent but subtle, perfect for reclining back in your blood orange-colored sofa to listen and read along. Before the climax and final scene, pour yourself a White Russian and spark up one of your grandmother’s extra-long cigarettes from 1981. You’re gonna need it.

True Lust has set up this page to engage in the full, unadulterated ‘Night Voyeur’ experience. Order the cassette tape and you’ll also get a printed copy of the screenplay and digital download of the album (limited run of 50).

  1. Great idea for a movie and awesome soundtrack. Very similar to, Cobra. I wish more movies and soundtracks like this were still made to this day.
