RENEGADE.

He was a cop, and good at his job. But he committed the ultimate sin and testified against other cops gone bad. Cops that tried to kill him, but got the woman he loved instead. Framed for murder, now he prowls the badlands. An outlaw hunting outlaws, a bounty hunter, a RENEGADE.

It was only a matter of time before Lorenzo Lamas and his ride-like-the-wind chopper came tearing up the dusty, sunbaked highway to Camp TNUC. Renegade was the story of Reno Raines, a man framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Raines becomes a fugitive and is chased by Bobby Sixkiller, played by Branscombe Richmond. This face should look familiar, after all, he was THE go-to Native American muscle of the 1980’s.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS.

Australian future hunters Power Glove just released ‘Telecom’, a motivational track in which you can literally hear the frequencies and waves blistering between early phone systems such as the Sports Illustrated Football Phone and a cutting edge device like the one pictured above, such as the Radio Shack CT 200 portable phone. Radio Shack keeps you in constant communication with their transportable AND affordable cellular telephone. Use it in the car, so you, or mom and the kids will never have to drive “alone” again. Or pick it up and carry it down the street or at the job site. This 3-watt transportable phone is yours today for the low price of $1199.00 (mobile antenna and portable adapter pack extra).

We should all be proud of Power Glove for having some of their music featured in the upcoming exploitation film Hobo With a Shotgun, which will be in theaters next month. No word of a release date for the soundtrack, but stay tuned.

THE WILD ONES.

Just when you thought these two meatballs couldn’t possibly do anymore damage than they’ve already done in the motion picture business and bodybuilding culture, The Barbarian Brothers (David and Peter Paul) made a song and music video for ‘I’m A Wild One’ right around the release of the film The Barbarians in 1987.  The musical meatheads were aided by famed soundtrack artist Michael Sembello, who you will hear singing the hook. As you know, Michael is best known for ‘Maniac’ off the Flashdance soundtrack. He also worked on music for Gremlins and The Monster Squad, among others. My favorite aspect of The Barbarians was that it took place during medieval times yet the two goons have east coast accents. If you are the kind of person that likes 1980’s neanderthal vocals mixed with 2nd-grade lyrics, then without further ado, we proudly present ‘I’m A Wild One’ to you.

You simply cannot deny how infectious this song is. It’s also extremely obscure as the origins and release for the song and video are unknown. It wasn’t featured in any part of the movie and the music heard in The Barbarians is an instrumental score by composer Pino Donaggio.

LEFTOVERS.

Premiering a full-course meal such as the video for THE OUTRUNNERS ‘DIAMONDS’ leaves us with a good helping of leftovers. Today’s discovery comes in a 1987 commercial for Pizza Hut entitled “The Test”. The atmospheric sounds that play over extreme-close-ups of building a pizza create a super-serious mood that would have been appropriate for one of those early science videos they made you watch in elementary school.

BE MINE.

Today TNUC has been smooched, pecked, manhandled, groped, stroked, caressed, humped and fondled more times than you can shake a stick at. As you can see in the photo, he’s got the high-school-hickies to show for it! This Valentines Day, grab your #1 squeeze and plant a few on her for TNUC. Hopefully she’s the kind of woman that makes you drop to your knees and thank God you are a man. For touching background music, originally I was going to post Tangerine Dream’s ‘Love On a Real Train’, but that just felt too predictable. It just so happens that today Binary Entertainment is releasing the new single from Futurecop!, ‘Dreams’ (featuring Keenhouse) and it’s simply mouth watering.

Head on over to any of the major music conglomerates to purchase the track and support delicious music. Or if your lady just fondled your privates and you’re too spent to do anything, just go pick it up on iTunes right here.
